Il fascino del brivido? In realtà chi pratica queste discipline parla di armonia ed equilibrio perfetto tra corpo e mente.
Di certo si tratta di un’esperienza che spinge l’acceleratore verso i propri limiti.
Parliamo di slacklining è un esercizio di equilibrio e di bilanciamento dinamico che deve il suo nome alla slackline, una fettuccia di nylon tesa tra due punti sulla quale si cammina.
Questa disciplina, che ricorda l’arte del funambolismo circense, ne differisce in alcuni aspetti fondamentali: si cammina su una fettuccia piatta e non su un cavo o su una corda, inoltre non prevede l’uso del bilanciere.
Questa pratica si divide in alcune sottocategorie: trickline, longline, highline.
La prima consiste nel creare evoluzioni (tricks) sopra la fettuccia di circa 5 cm e di una lunghezza di solito compresa tra 10 e 25 metri. Le evoluzioni possono essere di qualsiasi genere, difatti questa specialità viene anche chiamata freestyle.
La Longline consiste nel tentativo di camminare lungo una fettuccia il più lunga possibile. La difficoltà sta nel fatto che, con l’aumentare della lunghezza aumenta l’instabilità della fettuccia e di conseguenza la difficoltà a rimanere in equilibrio.
La highline consiste in una fettuccia tesa ad un’altezza considerevole, tale da obbligare il praticante ad indossare un’imbragatura come quelle usate nell’arrampicata sportiva – legata con una corda alla stessa fettuccia. La difficoltà di questa specialità sta nel superare la paura dell’altezza e riuscire a trovare la concentrazione necessaria per percorrere la fettuccia.
Le highline vengono montate solitamente in montagna tra due rocce.
Immagini spettacolari che non possono che sorprendere, soprattutto quando i paesaggi sono luoghi di incredibile fascino e inaccessibili.
Esistono molti record per tutte queste specialità anche se in Italia si tratta di pochissimi casi.
Sapevi che uno di questi è stato stabilito in Sardegna?
Si tratta di una highline di 469 metri percorsa da Annalisa Casiraghi e Niccolò Zarattini che stabilirono questo record il 2 Giugno 2019 a Ulassai, in Ogliastra. Qui da quattro anni va in scena un bellissimo evento dedicato agli sport outdoor: l’Ulassai Festival. People. Sport. Adventure.
Oggi queste discipline provano ad avvicinarsi il più possibile anche a chi non avrebbe mai pensato di farlo. Proprio grazie a questo Festival, cresciuto nel corso degli anni fino ad abbracciare sempre più discipline di sport outdoor, dall’arrampicata al trekking, dalla mountain bike allo yoga, ci si può mettere alla prova su un percorso di 500 metri, sospeso a 150 metri da terra.

Sappi che se invece desideri avvicinarti per la prima volta a questa emozionante attività, potrai cimentarti su un’altezza e lunghezza inferiori.
Un’esperienza di sicuro indimenticabile nella magica cornice delle maestosi pareti di Ulassai.
Durante il festival, dal 31 maggio al 2 giugno 2024, sarà inoltre presente una linea in Piazza Barigau, per coloro che vogliono sperimentare per la prima volta quest’attività senza staccarsi troppi metri da terra.
